TUCSON, Ariz. — Districts throughout Southern Arizona are leaving their cafeterias open for students during the summer months and serving meals to students.
Any student under 18 is eligible to receive a free, nutritious meal throughout summer break.
Here are the districts providing meals:
Marana Unified School District
MUSD plans to serve more than 18,000 free meals to students this summer. Schools participating include: Butterfield Elementary School, Estes Elementary School, Marana Middle School, Picture Rocks Elementary, Quail Run Elementary School, Roadrunner Elementary School, and Marana Cares Mobile. Tucson Unified School District
TUSD's Summer Food Services Program provides free breakfast and lunch meals during summer break. Meals are served at select school cafeterias and other non-school sites. This program runs from May 28 - July 17. For the complete schedule and locations, click here.
Amphitheater Public Schools
Starting June 3, students can take advantage of Amphitheater's Summer Meal Program. No registration or Identification is required. Schools open during the summer include: Amphi High School, Amphi Middle School, Keeling Elementary and La Cima Middle School. To view Amphi's complete schedule, click here.
Sunnyside Unified School District
Sunnyside's Summer Food Service Program began on May 25 with Ocotillo Elementary School and more schools in the district will be opening at the beginning of June. Click here for dates, times and locations.
Vail School District
Vail's summer food program does not have income requirements that students must meet. Summer foot sites include: Clements Recreation Center, Dunham Elementary School, Littletown Recreation Center and Ford Elementary School. All locations are open Monday-Friday. Click here for the dates and times.
Flowing Wells Unified School District
The schools participating in Flowing Wells summer meals program includes: Richardson Elementary (May 28 - July 31), Flowing Wells High School (June 3 - July 11) and Sentinel Peak High School (June 3 - July 11). For more information, call 520-696-8622.
