Linking businesses to people with disabilities, wounded warriors

People received a dose of inspiration today at the Building Bridges awards.
 
The annual event presented by Linkages, an organization championed by Jim Click, that works to link businesses to people with disabilities and wounded warriors.
 
Tucson Electric Power received Employer of the Year.
 
TEP makes it a practice to hire veterans who currently represent 16 percent of their workforce.
 
Empowerment through Employment received Project of the Year.
 
Pamela Taggart received Employment Specialist of the Year.
 
The award for Individual of the Year went to Mellissa Carnes-Frontroth, who overcame depression and homelessness to become an inspiration for others who face similar circumstances.  Mo, as they call her, received a scholarship from Raytheon to help her on her journey.
