The lights for liberty vigil was held to end detention camps Friday night.
More than a hundred people showed up to the candle-light vigil event in downtown Tucson.
There were artists, poets, and musicians were on-hand to help bring awareness to the treatment of asylum seekers at the border.
Janni Lee Simner organization member says "We are very concerned about how asylum seekers are being treated when they come here seeking shelter and seeking help all threw history there have been people that have to leave home, and no-one does that because they want to."
This event follows several similar vigils held throughout the country, and world.
