The holidays are about a month away, but pastry chefs inside the El Conquistador Resort are already working hard to build a life-sized gingerbread house from scratch.
It will take the staff hundreds of hours and about a week to build their culinary masterpiece.
More than 100 pounds of flour, 100 eggs, 350 pounds of powdered sugar, and 320 candy canes will go into the making of the gingerbread house.
The colossal gingerbread house will be unveiled during a special community celebration on Dec. 1 from 5 p.m. to 7 pm.
