A late night fire destroyed a mobile home in the 3400 block of North Flowing Wells, according to the Tucson Fire Department.

Crews arrived on scene just after 3 a.m. the mobile home was fully involved in fire.

As firefighters were extinguishing the fire from the exterior of the home prawns from a palm tree engulfed in flames began to land repeatedly on the roof of the neighboring mobile home. Crews were able to extinguish the fronds preventing them from starting the neighboring roof on fire.

Once firefighters were able to extinguish the majority of the flames from outside of the home, crews entered the residence and found no one inside the home.

In total, nine units and 23 firefighters were called to the scene and the fire was under control 29 minutes after they arrived. There were no injuries to any firefighters.

There has been no contact made with the resident of the mobile home but efforts are being made by authorities.

The cause of the fire is under investigation and there is yet to be an estimate on the damages of the mobile home.
