PHOENIX (AP) - The Federal Aviation Administration says no injuries were reported from laser illuminations of four aircraft Tuesday evening.
FAA spokesman Allen Kenitzer says the incidents occurred over roughly a 2½ -hour span and involved a small helicopter, a regional jet and two single-engine planes flying at altitudes ranging from 2,500 to 4,000 feet.
The FAA notified Phoenix police. A police spokesman said no additional information was immediately available.
Lasers are a concern because they can temporarily blind pilots.
