The man accused of stealing a car with a toddler inside appeared in court Tuesday.
Tucson Police say the boy's mother left him in the car briefly while she went into an apartment near 22nd and Kolb to get her laptop.
Officers say the car was within a few feet from the door. When she came back outside someone was driving away in the car.
She called police who found the car near 22nd and Wilmot without the boy inside.
The toddler was found wandering nearby and was reunited with his mother.
20-year-old Anthony Gracia is facing a number of charges including kidnapping, child abuse, auto theft and third-degree burglary.
