Police captured a man who threatened to inject his victim with heroin if he wasn't paid.

Court records show that a man kidnapped a woman who owed him money and promised to inject her with drugs and have her gang raped if he wasn't paid.

Mesa police report that on October 7, they were contacted by a man in Michigan who told them that his ex-girlfriend called him asking for $130. During the call, a man, later identified as 36-year-old Stanley Kinard, got on the phone and told the man that if he wasn't paid the money, "he was going to shoot the woman full of heroin and leave her for dead on the side of the road."

The victim also reportedly made similar calls to family members trying to get the money as well.

Through other contacts, police were able to identify the suspect as Kinard, a man with an outstanding warrant from Maricopa County Court.

Around 2 a.m., Police went to a motel near Gilbert Road and Southern Avenue, where they saw Kinard walking through the parking lot holding the victim in a headlock.

Kinard, the victim and another woman got into a car and left. Police followed in unmarked vehicles, but they were spotted by Kinard who took off.

He ended up crashing the car and escaped on foot.

The victim and the other woman, who was also being held against her will, were freed by police. The other women allegedly told police that she heard the phone calls made by the victim and the threats made by Kinard.

Kinard was located later that day in an apartment in Glendale near 59th and Northern avenues.

He has been charged with kidnapping.
