TUCSON, Ariz. — There will be a special job fair for employees being let go from a Tucson call center.

Pima County One-Stop is planning the event after news broke Monday of 785 layoffs at a call center on the west side run by the Concentrix Corporation.

Workforce development specialist Donna Ruthruff works for the county and is helping coordinate the job fair.

"There's actually a few call centers that have openings that have contacted us, that they are interested in hiring some of the dislocated workers from Concentrix," she said. "So we have put together a small job fair for those workers and invited the employers and are hoping to get them connected."

The job fair is coming up in May as Pima County One-Stop works out the details.
