The Ironwood Ridge softball team has won their second Division II state title in three seasons.
The Nighthawks beat No. 4 Cactus 6-2 at ASU’s Farrington Stadium on Monday night.
Mandy Lorenson was the winning pitcher.
In 2014, Ironwood Ridge beat Canyon del Oro High School 2-1.
This season, Ironwood Ridge has 12 seniors on the team, several of whom have played at the varsity level since their freshman year.
