January 27 marks International Holocaust remembrance day to commemorate the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz by the Soviets 75 years ago.

That rescue had been the first time the world saw what took place at the camp.

Over six million Jewish people lost their lives in Nazi concentration camps.

Irving Roth is a survivor of Auschwitz and Buchenwald, the 90-year-old has devoted his life to education on the horrors of the holocaust, and combating antisemitism.

Roth said "Hatred has become a very prevalent, not only word, but idea throughout our society. And so we need to stop that. It's important that each one of us realizes what's happening and speak out."

Yesterday the Book of Life Church held its seventh annual march of remembrance honoring the six million who died.
