Authorities say an Arizona prison inmate has been found dead in her cell in an apparent suicide.
Arizona Department of Corrections officials say 30-year-old Tiffany Everest died Saturday.
Prison personnel say she engaged in an apparent act of self-harm by using clothing wrapped around her neck and tied to an air vent.
Staff members and paramedics attempted life-saving measures, but it was unsuccessful.
Corrections officials say Everest was an inmate at the Perryville state prison complex in Goodyear.
She had been in prison since last year after being sentenced out of Pima County to a more than 2 ½ year term for aggravated assault.
