UPDATE (1:19 p.m., March 4):
Arizona Department of Public Safety issued a news release with more information on the fatal crash that took place on Interstate 19 early Tuesday.
According to the news release, troopers received a 911 call at around 1:39 a.m. of a man walking in the travel lanes of Interstate 19, near kilometer 78. Upon arrival, troopers found the body of a man in the median near kilometer 76.
The body was identified as 19-year-old Jonathan Warren of Sahuarita.
There were no vehicles at the scene, nor were there any witnesses, the news release said.
During processing, car parts were identified as belonging to a 2018-2025 Mercedes Sprinter van, the news release said.
Within hours, a possible vehicle had been identified and 57-year-old Jesus G. De Leon Gonzalez of Tucson had reported to Sahuarita Police that he may have been involved in the crash.
DPS contacted and interviewed De Leon Gonzalez, the news release said.
The vehicle was located at a local business, owned by the suspect, with obvious crash damage. It was taken as evidence.
De Leon Gonzalez was booked into the Pima County Jail on suspicion of failure to remain on scene of a fatal collision.

Interstate 19 northbound has reopened near Sahuarita, according to Arizona Department of Transportation.

Northbound I-19 near Milepost 78 is closed Tuesday morning following a deadly collision. The Department of Public Safety says a man was struck by what they believe is a Mercedes sprinter van around 1:40 a.m.
DPS says the driver of the vehicle did not remain at the scene, however the van should have damage to the front drivers side headlight according to deputies.
Northbound I-19 near milepost 78 is expected to reopen at 8:00 a.m. Tuesday morning.
