How University of Arizona students feel about the election

The anticipation to Election Day has been growing for months. Polls and experts predict a record number of young voters.

Now just hours away from Election Day, many University of Arizona students won't be heading to the polls, because they voted early.

"I was actually pretty excited just because it was my first time voting," freshman Keeley Carney said. "I was really excited to get my vote out there and get my friends to vote as well."

But not all students will be participating in this year's election. Some say they're just too busy.

"Because I am a student, I don't have a lot of time to pay attention to the elections and stuff," sophomore Shelbie Hitchcock said. "School gets in the way."

Whether they're voting or not, students say they're ready for elections, and election ads, to be over for a couple of years.

"They're everywhere, and even on YouTube, I can't get away from the commercials," Carney said.
