TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Homeless veterans will soon have a new place to turn in Tucson.

Gorman and Company held a groundbreaking ceremony for a new housing development, specifically for chronically homeless veterans.

One of the people who worked hard on the project is Pat Beacham.

"It's so important because we're helping veterans.  And that's really what this is all about -- working with vets to give them the dignity that they deserve because they served for us," said Beacham.

Other major players in the project at 3700 S. Calle Polar include The Arizona Department of Housing, Pima County Community Development, The City of Tucson, and Esperanza En Escalante.
