Blizzard brings record breaking snowfall

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - While Tucson set a new record high of 81 degrees Saturday, Northeastern states remain on high alert as blizzard conditions continue to break snowfall records throughout the region.
 
At 10:00 PM EST the National Weather Service released the latest snowfall totals Glengary West Virginia measured an impressive 40 inches. Both Maryland and Virginia ranged from 11 – 39 inches of snow throughout. Washington DC reported 22.2 inches, as much as 30 inches expected. Baltimore and New York City set new snowfall records with 29.2 inches at BWI Airport and 27.7 inches recorded at JFK Airport. Governor Andrew Cumo issued a Travel Ban and State of Emergency until 7am Sunday.
 
At this hour 19 storm-related deaths have been reported, 56 million remain under Winter Weather Watches in 15 states, and State of Emergency Declared in 11 states.
 
Over 10,000 flights have been canceled nationwide since Friday including more than 150 flights from Sky Harbor Airport.
