A hiker was airlifted out of Sabino Canyon Saturday morning around 11 a.m. after she broke her ankle.
Pima County Sheriff's Department says the 45-year-old woman was hiking up Sabino Canyon alone.
She planned to loop around to hike Seven Falls when she broke her ankle and called 911 for help.
Search and rescue teams partnered with PCSD and Rural Metro Fire to rescue the injured woman.
She was extracted by a helicopter and taken to a nearby hospital.
