Heroes Day offers free lunch to first responders

More than 30 Southern Arizona law enforcement and first responder organizations are being honored Thursday, November 9, by an organization called "Heroes Day."

A council of Southern Arizonans honor several local heroes every year on what they call "Heroes Day."

There is a banquet at La Encantada starting at 11:00 a.m., kicking off two-and-a-half hours of free lunch at locations across Tucson and Southern Arizona.

Texas Roadhouse lunch is available to all first responders in uniform from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at these five Jack Furrier Tire & Auto Care Heroes Day locations:
 
Grant Road at Oracle (370 W. Grant Road)
Between Craycroft & Wilmot (5852 E. Speedway Boulevard)
Ina Road, 1 block west of Old Father (4291 W. Ina Road)
Valencia at South 6th Avenue (51 E. Valencia Road)
Oracle between Magee & Ina (7846 N. Oracle Road)

Tucson and people in surrounding communities are encouraged to sign a "Thank You" banner at any one of these locations. Any donations collected will benefit Banner University Medical Center- Trauma Program, the only Level 1 Trauma Center in Southern Arizona.
