A call-to-action appears in the “District Headlines” section of the homepage, which then directs visitors to a landing page with information about the naming process and things to keep in mind when considering a name.
  • SOCIAL MEDIA: The district will also solicit names for the new school from the public on its social media channels. Content will be posted on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to encourage followers to be part of the naming process by submitting names for the school. Names can be suggested by replying in the post comments, replying to the district in a private message.
  • IN PERSON: A “suggestion box” for naming the new school is at the district office front desk for visitors to provide ideas for the name of the new school. Parents who are dropping off their Open Enrollment applications to attend the new school, as well as anyone who is visiting the district office, can write in their nominations.
Suggested names will be reviewed by members of a naming committee, consisting of representatives from the community, parents, and district staff.
