PHOENIX (AP) - Authorities report heavy traffic on northbound Interstate 17 and say drivers headed to northern Arizona should expect long delays.
The Arizona Department of Transportation said late Saturday morning that the longest delays were between near Anthem on the northern outskirts of metro Phoenix and the Sunset Point Rest Area.
The department advised drivers to allow for extra travel time and consider alternate routes, including through Payson on state routes 87 and 260.
