A hazmat unit was called to the area of River and Craycroft after an unknown powder got on a Pima County Sheriff's deputy.

The Sheriff's department was responding to a call about a suspicious sign that was found near the Walgreens.

The sign had some ominous language and phrases on it so the citizen wanted authorities to check it out.

When deputies responded, one deputy got a white powder that was on the sign on his skin.

Hazmat units are on scene to determine what the substance was and if it poses a danger.
