TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Christmas came early for some students in the Sunnyside School district, all thanks to their own hard work.
It is called the 20/20 Reading Challenge, meaning reading 20 minutes a day for 20 days each month.
On Tuesday, at Sierra 2 through 8 those who excelled received bicycles for their hard work.
" We need to get them outside for physical activity as well," said Principal Margie Vanderport.
The bikes were donated by the Tucson Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons and Desert Dialysis.
