PHOENIX (AP) - Gov. Doug Ducey has appointed a new Pima County Superior Court judge.
The governor's office announced Tuesday that Ducey has appointed court Commissioner Peter Hochuli to fill the vacancy created by Judge Karen Adam's retirement.
Hochuli began his law career in private practice, working primarily in family and juvenile law for 15 years, before joining the County Attorney's Office in 1996.
He became a court commissioner in 2008. He's a Republican, as is Ducey.
Hochuli was among three nominees recommended to Ducey by a state commission on Superior Court appointments for Pima County.
