TUCSON, Ariz. — Some Google Maps users are starting to get a high-tech update on the app.
Google is testing augmented reality maps which are meant for walkers.
The feature is not expected to be available to everyone for a while.
Google says it doesn't envision people holding the phone up the entire time they walk, but they think this is better for when you need to get your bearings.
A reporter who got to try it says he could take a picture of a building and maps would know where he was.
