According to the Southern Arizona chapter, every year, the Girl Scout cookie sale is the largest financial investment in girls in the country. It says, "At a time when girls' needs and issues collect fewer than 8 cents of every philanthropic dollar, each and every Girl Scout Cookie purchase is key to supporting the change-makers of today and tomorrow."
The cookies range from $5 to $6 dollars. 100% of the proceeds stay in Southern Arizona to support local Girl Scouts and the Girl Scout Leadership Experience. That includes things like council-sponsored programs, events activities, scholarships for girls and cookie rewards like summer camp.
