TUSCON, Ariz.-- The Pima County Public Library kicked off its summer reading program Saturday night with a Family Fiesta at the Tanque Verde Swap Meet.
"It's really super important for kids over the summer to keep their reading skills up," said Kendra Davey with Pima County Public Library. "We want them to start the school year with those skills ready to learn.
The event runs until July 13th, when they celebrate the program with their annual 'MegaMania!'.
Library officials say they host events and summer camps for teens as well, you can find that information on the Pima County Public Library's website.
