Tucson Comic-Con is throwing their fourth annual Costume Contest and you're invited to suit up as your favorite character.

The event is fun to watch, but it's always fun to actually compete. The contest is the largest of its kind in the southwest and comes with prizes donated by local businesses — which includes free passes to the Tucson Comic-Con.

The contest is Thursday, November 1 at 2 p.m. inside the Tucson Convention Center's Leo Rich Theater

There's going to be different levels of entry, too, and plenty of chances to win. You can either compete in the Novice, Intermediate, Advanced, Group, or Youth category.

Depending on your age and experience, you're invited to fill out the Costume Contest entry form or the Youth Costume Contestentry form. If you've got stagefright and are a little nervous about competing, you can still wear your costume in the crowd.

Tucson Comic-Con began in 2008 and was a single day event with a crowd of about 500 people. Now, it's grown to at least 14,000 fans over multiple days.

This year's event takes place on November 2-4 at the TCC.
