Former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson  is making a hard push as the race to the White House intensifies.

The Libertarian candidate spoke to hundreds of supporters inside the Phoenix Airport Marriott on Saturday.

During his rally he discussed multiple topics, including his vision for America, immigration and his poll numbers.

Currently, Johnson is polling around 9% with voters. The low percentage prevents him from taking part in the nationally televised debates.

“You know two debates to go the issue that I've had with the polling is that not one single time has my name appeared on the top line of a poll, Johnson said. "Meaning not in one single national poll have they asked the question Johnson, Trump or Clinton."

Johnson also laid out his plan for immigration reform. It’s a stark difference from the one voters heard last month from Republican nominee Donald Trump.

"We should be embracing immigration," Johnson said." We should be making it as easy as possible for somebody that wants to come into this country for work to be able to get a work visa."

The former governor also told ABC15 that a vote for him is not a wasted a vote. Instead, he argued that a vote for candidate you don’t truly believe in is a wasted vote.

Republican nominee Donald Trump will hold a rally in Prescott Valley Oct. 4th Democratic Vice President nominee Tim Kaine will be fundraising in Phoenix on Oct. 8th.
