Some of Tucson's bravest were honored Friday morning at the Tucson Fire Department awards ceremony.
Captain Beto Vasquez was named fireman of the year.
Vasquez said it's an honor because every Tucson firefighter wears the uniform to help people.
About 45 firefighters received awards for their efforts to keep each other and everyone safe.
