Portions of two freeways on the wide side of metro Phoenix are open again after being closed much of Friday morning due to a deadly crash.
Eastbound Interstate 10 and southbound Loop 303 reopened about five hours after the crash occurred shortly after midnight.
The state Department of Public Safety says one person was killed in a two-vehicle wreck that is still under investigation.
KNXV-TV reports that one of the vehicles involved was stopped on I-10 for an unknown reason when the collision occurred and that two people were critically injured in addition to the one person being killed.
ADOT says traffic on westbound I-10 and northbound Loop 303 was unaffected.
