Free Museum Day! Here's how to get free admission for two this Saturday

TUCSON, Ariz. — Several Tucson museums are participating in Smithsonian Magazine Museum Day this year.

Museum Day is an event that celebrates museums and cultural institutions across the country.

By visiting smithsonianmag.com, you can download a ticket that provides free entry to two at select Old Pueblo spots.

Participants are allowed to download one ticket per email address, the website says.

Here are the Tucson museums participating on Sept. 21:

Tucson Desert Art Museum

  • 7000 E Tanque Verde | 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Fort Lowell Museum

  • 2900 N. Craycroft Road | 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Tucson Botanical Gardens

  • 2150 North Alvernon Way | 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Arizona State Museum

  • 1013 E University Blvd | 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

University of Arizona Museum of Art

  • 1031 North Olive Road | 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
