Free legal help at Court Night for Pima County residents

TUCSON, Ariz. — The Superior Court in Pima County and the Pima County Bar Association is offering free legal help at Court Night on October 15.

There will be two free legal information sessions at the Abrams Public Health Center, 3950 South Country Club Road. The first session starts at 4 p.m. until 5:15 p.m. and the second session starts at 5:30 p.m. until 6:45 p.m.

The sessions will help attendees learn about Divorce/Custody, Probate/ Guardianship/Conservatorship (passing assets to beneficiaries), and What is ‘Dependency’? presented by Karen Jordan, Esq. from Pima County Juvenile Court.

The presenters are local attorneys and professionals who can provide comprehensive information of the topics.

Departments presenting include:

  • The Pima County Bar Association (co-sponsor of the event); information about referrals and reduced-fee attorney service
  • Office of the Arizona Attorney General, Child Support Services; answering basic child-support questions
  • Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court; information about opening a court case, order of protection, passport, marriage license, and more
  • Pima County Juvenile Justice Center; information on the legal system when youth are involved
  • Superior Court Family Law Conciliation Court; information on accessing free mediation and parent education services, and resources
  • Superior Court Interpreter’s Office; understanding the interpreter and translation services available at the Court
  • Superior Court’s Law Library and Resource Center; information on forms and services, resources for self-represented litigants, documents on the court website, and more

Court Night is free and open to the public. Preregistration is not required to attend.

There will be Spanish-speaking translators available during the event. To request another language translator contact 520-724-3888.

Parking is free, and the location is on Sun Tran route 11.
