Four suspects in custody after midtown armed robbery

Four suspects are in custody after an armed robbery in midtown Friday night.

Tucson police received a call just before 7 p.m. about an armed robbery at 3650 N. 1st Avenue. 

Two males had entered the building and threatened employees and customers.

They took merchandise and ran on foot to a getaway car that was waiting for them with two additional .

Officers located the vehicle as it was driving and a TPD air unit tracked the vehicle. 

Ground officers successfully attempted a traffic stop on the vehicle and the car pulled over. 

The two men fled the vehicle and took off on foot. 

 

 

K9 units began searching for the men and located them as they were still running.

The K9's bit both suspects, officers subdued them and took them into custody. 

The two other people who were in the getaway car were also taken into custody.

A total of 4 people, 3 males and 1 female were arrested.
