Four monuments could lose federal protection

Posted
There are 18 national monuments in Arizona, the most of any state. If some Republicans get their way, four monuments will no longer be federally protected.

The group is calling for dozens of national monuments to lose their protection.

The group behind this push includes three Arizona Congressman, including Paul Gosar, Andy Biggs, and Trent Franks.

In Arizona, it includes the Ironwood National Forest Monument, the Sonoran Desert, the Grand Canyon Parashant National Monument, and Vermillion Cliffs National Monument.

These were all protected by former President Bill Clinton.
