TUCSON, Ariz. — The winter storm rolling over southern Arizona is now affecting Fort Huachuca.
The Army post announced it would be suspending operations Friday "out of an abundance of caution." In a Facebook post, the post says they're expecting whiteout conditions in the area, with two to six inches of snow forecast for areas below 5000 feet overnight.
Officials are expected to close the West Gate and Canelo Road as conditions worses, but expects to keep the Van Deman and Buffalo Soldier Gates open Friday. Commissary will be closed as well.
