TUCSON, Ariz. -- The Tucson Fire Fighters Association says former president and firefighter Roger Tamietti died on Wednesday.

Roger worked with Tucson Fire Department for over thirty years as a firefighter, a paramedic and a captain.

He was President from July of 2006 until his retirement in December of 2015.

Tucson Fire Fighters Association wrote, "Roger touched the lives of countless people both on and off the job. He was a friend, a mentor and a true leader. We are at a loss for words right now."
