Flyovers planned for Memorial Day services

The Arizona Air National Guard's 162nd Wing is scheduled to conduct F-16 Fighting Falcon flyovers on Monday for several Memorial Day events.

Two jets will fly over the following locations:

  • Memorial Day Parade and Service at Tucson Estates Park, Tucson at 9 a.m.
  • Memorial Day Service at East Lawn Palms, Tucson at 9:05 a.m. 
  • Memorial Day Service at South Lawn Cemetary, Tucson at 9:10 a.m. 
  • Memorial Day Service at Green Valley Mortuary, Green Valley at 9:15 a.m.
  • Memorial Day Service at Purple Heart Park, Tucson at 10 a.m.

Brig. Gen. Andrew J. MacDonald, commander of the 162nd Wing will speak at East Lawn Palms service. 

The 162nd Wing is based out of Tucson International Airport and can only conduct flyovers at Air Force- approved patriotic events.
