PINAL COUNTY, AZ - — The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office have arrested a Florence man for downloading and distributing several images of child exploitation.
Investigators found thousands of files on 42-year-old Todd Brown's computer depicting children being sexually abused and exploited. Some of them were infants and toddlers.
Pinal County says that Brown was previously convicted for rape of a child in Washington, and that Brown has repeatedly failed to register as a sex offender.
Sherriff Mark Lamb says that's something to take into consideration:
“Mr. Brown clearly didn’t learn his lesson the first time,” said Lamb. “Our detectives did a fantastic job with this investigation and bringing him in. We do not want people like Brown out in our community with the ability to target our children.”
Brown admitted to investigators that he has a compulsion for downloading and viewing the images.
He now faces ten counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor and Sex Offender Violation.
