Firefighters are making progress on containing the Boundary Fire near Flagstaff.
The fire is located on Kendrick Mountain 17 miles northwest of Flagstaff.
According to the Kaibab National Forest, the fire has burned 17,049 acres and is 88 percent contained.
Smoke continues to impact nearby communities, but firefighters are expecting it to decrease over the next few days.
There is currently 282 personnel assigned.
The lightning-caused fire began on June 1st.
