Northwest Fire was on the scene of an apartment fire Monday at 7300 N Mona Lisa.
According to Fire Captain Brian Keeley, crews arrived on the scene just before 2:30 p.m. and found the first floor of the apartment heavily involved in flames.
Crews were able to put out the fire before it spread to other units. Firefighters say the apartment directly above suffered minor smoke damage.
One resident was medically evaluated but declined to be transported to the hospital.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
