A fatal motorcycle collision closed Silverlake Rd. from the Santa Cruz River area to Mission Rd. Saturday night. Police identified the victim as 20-year-old Saxen Hurst.
According to Sgt. Pete Dugan with TPD, the collision happened around 7 p.m. Sundyay. A police officer was leaving the Pima County Jail and came across the collision moments after it happened and saw Hurst lying in the roadway unresponsive.
Shortly after TFD arrived, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the F-150 truck that was involved in the collision remained on the scene and no signs of impairment were detected.
Hurst was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.
No citations or arrests have been made at this time.
