Firefighters arrived at the scene of a bedroom fire Saturday night that displaced a family of three.
According to Fire Captain Andy Skaggs, one of the residents in the home noticed a glow of fire coming from an area near an outlet in a bedroom. She quickly evacuated and called 9-1-1.
A family member grabbed the garden hose and attempted to extinguish the fire through a window until TFD arrived.
The resident had put out most of the flames and firefighters did the rest, controlling the fire in 10 minutes after arriving at 10:39 p.m.
The family of two adults and one child were not injured.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
