TUCSON, Ariz. — Eight months and counting. That's how long Dominic Romero's family has been searching for answers in their son's death.
The 20-year-old died in a hit and run near Picture Rocks on Jan. 4. It was his birthday.
His family held a fundraiser on Sunday in hopes of raising money to increase the 88-CRIME reward for information.
The Pima County Sheriff's Department is still investigating, but there's no new information or leads in the case. Witnesses described seeing a green or blue pickup truck that may have been involved.
Dominic's parents are still holding out hope for answers.
The family tells KGUN9 they raised more than $5,000 from the event.
