Are you looking for a fun summer project for the kids?

There are 16 days left to enter a contest to design a stamp celebrating Tucson's 243rd birthday.

The annual Tucson Birthday Stamp Design Contest lets kids explore their artistic side while celebrating the essence of Tucson.

Tanvi Narendran won the contest last year with a colored pencil sketch of a green saguaro cactus and the historic Mission San Xavier del Bac.

The contest is open to Tucson-area kids ages 5 to 17 years old. The winner will have his or her design made into custom U.S. postage stamps.

Entries will be accepted until July 20.

For more information on how to enter the contest, visit the Postal History Foundation website.
