Even after voters approved Proposition 123, education advocates are pushing for more K through 12 funding.

The measure puts $3.5 billion into schools over the next ten years.

Despite that, advocates say schools will still get a billion dollars less per year than before the recession.

These advocates are calling on Governor Doug Ducey to restore funding for textbooks, building maintenance and teacher pay.

Governor Ducey plans to meet with educators in the next few weeks to discuss the next steps in school funding.
