TUCSON, Ariz. — A man has died after a crash on the east side involving a motorcycle and one other vehicle on Saturday night.

Tucson Police say the motorcyclist who died was 32-year-old John Woodward.

Police say it happened at around 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Kolb and Stella Roads when the motorcycle rear-ended the other vehicle.

Investigators say Woodward was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and that excessive speed appears to be factor.

Crews rushed Woodward to the hospital, where he later died of his injuries.

TPD says southbound Kolb has been re-opened at Stella.
