Governor Doug Ducey has ordered state inspectors to inspect shelters being used to house immigrant children.
His order comes after reports of staff sexually abusing children at shelters Southwest Key runs under Federal contract in Tucson and in the Phoenix area.
The shelters house undocumented children who crossed the border without adults or who came with adult family members are were separated by Federal immigration authorities.
The Arizona Health Department will handle the inspections.
