Governor Doug Ducey says he is pleased with President Trump's decision to issue an executive order ending the practice of separating families of migrants caught entering the country illegally.
"We've been outspoken we want to see parents remain connected with their children so, I'm thrilled we could fix this policy," Gov. Ducey said. Ducey made a similar statement last Friday following a summit with the Governor of Sonora Mexico.
The governor did not specifically address questions if he planned to personally visit detention centers currently housing migrant children.
Gov. Ducey spoke on the immigration issue following a campaign rally and speech in Tucson.
