Ducey appoints Farrar as Yuma County Superior Court judge

PHOENIX (AP) - Gov. Doug Ducey has appointed a new Yuma County Superior Court judge to replace a judge who retired.

Ducey's appointee is R. Erin Farrar, a former state assistant attorney general now serving as a Yuma County justice of the peace pro tem.

Farrar will replace Judge John Paul Plante.

Superior Court judges in Yuma County and other counties with populations less than 250,000 are elected but midterm vacancies are fill by appointment by the governor.
