Authorities say a car's driver was killed when it rear-ended a garbage truck and then was struck by a tractor-trailer rig in a freeway crash on the west side of metro Phoenix early Tuesday.
Authorities say the person killed was the only occupant in the car and that eastbound Interstate 10 fully reopened about three hours after the wreck.
